Staff retention is key

Lots of internal training available and opportunities for Internal mobility.
Cons
Org changes takes too long and often there are much uncertainties with no clear direction before another change takes place.
Performance review system has gotten worst.

Communicate immediately and more frequently even when you do not have a clear direction as oppose to having your staff feel uncertainty and a lack of focus thinking if the work done today is still going to be relevant tomorrow. This is especially important during time of organization change.

Not as large as the other wire houses, much more nimble, staff that cares, they are investing in the future

much smaller than other wire houses, operations can get bogged down, staff is over worked, their technology is very dated

keep investing in the future, do not sell yourself, do not buy anyone else, increase employee compensation to retain talent

Employees need to feel empowered by a transparent and strong management team.

It's a great place to work. They have a great online university that can assist you with honing you work skills.

Sometimes your hired to work a management position but without the title. If your hired as a Senior Associate be prepared to work as a manager.

Just looks for more ways to promote from within. UBS is an organization with extremely talented people and sometimes they are not utilized well.

global, international company that has a lot of potential for growth and becoming the world leader no matter how harsh the current financial world with the rules for the banks, especially the Swiss.

The stricter regulations that have to be fulfilled than almost anyone else in the world in the short time provied.

People are fantastic. Support is great. Technology is great. Offices are world class.
Cons
If you're not doing more than $400K in production, your payout is pretty low. Payouts start around 28%. Difficult place to start in the business, but if you're a veteran with a good book, it's great.
