Nice financial knowledge can be learn even you work in back office
Cons
difficult to be promoted
seem to pay lesser than its competitors
there are some management who are very well paid but not doing much
Advice to Senior Management
Hire wisely for management role
Increase the salary of the employees to retain talents
Communicate more and regularly to your staffs.
Pros
Can earn your 7 and 66
Work is easy and will not take your whole day, but you cannot leave early
great co-workers
Cons
No real career advancement- only two positions
Mgmt pays favorites and holds grudges
Very disorganized for a financial company
The Financial Advisor position is no more than a glorified call center representative - you most answer 35 calls a day and do not make outcalls for financial reviews for clients
This is the UBS Investment Center, not an actual UBS branch. so the clients are people who were dumped by their financial advisor in the field. So, most of the time the client does not want their account there. Since it is the investment center, the pay and perks are much, much less than the branch.
Advice to Senior Management
The operations manager plays favorites too much and hold personal grudges, grow up and focus on the quality of the work done, not who visits your office the most to brown nose.
Pros
Nice officespace ...multiple monitors
Easy of. communication with other co workers ...less politics
Broadcasted. soccer world cup on intranet
Any equipment request quickly approved
Cons
Managers absolutely cluseless about managing projects.
poor pay , that explains the quality of managers
No food or transportation provided with overtime work...absolutley ungreatful.
Trying hard to cut costs by outsourcing but paying high price on quality and retention front
Advice to Senior Management
you get what you pay for
If your getting work for free , why not pay for food an transportation for overtime
Stop being pennywise and pound foolish
Pros
very good working environment, nice pay for interns, good chance to grow, networking chance with higher level officers, nice co-workers
Cons
interview process is too long, inter placement took a long time for about 2 month after I accept job offer
Advice to Senior Management
to be more efficiency, to clarify the process and placement process. we need more pay and more bonus. Intern can have a paid vacation
Pros
Great opportunity to move across different job titles, and to travel.
Cons
If you're not used to Corporate America, the change can be daunting to say the least.
Advice to Senior Management
N/A
Pros
Global opportunity for employees, very easy to change regions.
Cons
Lots of systems doing the same thing.
Advice to Senior Management
Reduce costs.
Pros
The advocacy for work-life balance is astounding, especially when compared to my erstwhile employer (IB division in a commercial banking behemoth). Front-to-back systems is top-notch, meaning analysts / controllers can go about doing their proper jobs and value-add, rather than do systems patch work.
Also, the organisation flow is very flat - and there is great openness and direct conversations had on many a subject (hence, little risk for corporate, interneccine toxicity)
Cons
Very calm. Almost too calm. Then again, that's not an issue now, is it??
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work!
Pros
Great working environment, good place to learn. People are very friendly and always willing to help out. Room for potential growth within the company.
Cons
At certain times management is not always around for assistance. It is hard to get certain things escalated by the back office.
Advice to Senior Management
Please be more aware of the employees and when they need to get certain things escalated. It is important to have meetings with all of your employees on a weekly basis.
Pros
Global Organisation with opportunities to travel
Cons
Constantly growing and contracting workforce
