    colleagues are extremely nice and supporting, great execution, quite strong in greater china with better networks than most other banks, deal flow is good

    hours can be quite long

    1. The HK office I worked in was not as diverse as I expected - most are from HK/mainland China or Switzerland.
    2. Could have more training on the technical skills.

    Pros

    Depending on the team, you can get nice and challenging Work.

    Met some brilliant people in technology and in the trading teams.

    Offers a lot of mobility - geographically and functionally.

    Cons

    Recently, it became really bureaucratic which made it difficult to achieve anything in projects.
    Priorities of the business kept changing and senior management did not seem to have a vision.

    - Great leadership. Very transparent.
    - Great strategic initiatives
    - Very innovative
    - Great facilities and lots of employee training and development
    - Smart people and very willing to talk to you and teach you new things when they are free

    - Too laid back. In some product team, there are a lot of random gossiping.

    Global firm - pockets of business that are slowly changing culture.

    Poor management and hr policies - little interest in employee development, engagement or retention. High turnover, poor culture.
