    Pros

I really enjoy working at UBS. The company has a strong culture, stimulating work, thoughtful leadership and is a place where an analyst can get real deal experience.

    Cons

While there really aren't many negative attributes I could list, one thing I'd highlight is the variable and sometimes long work hours.

    Advice to Management

Continue supporting the work environment and culture, and continue to empower young employees to take initiative and think outside the box

    Pros

Great career launching pad (just like any investment banking job) that opens up a number of opportunities, particularly on the finance side of things. Even if you transition out of finance, the job still gives you a solid footing to where you rarely, if ever, have to justify your intelligence, competence and work ethic going forward. Generally smart, sharp and motivated bunch of people.

    Cons

Work/life balance is generally pretty bad, which includes late nights, early morning and mundane work (read: processing). The culture can be pretty toxic, as generally everyone you meet is looking at this option as a place to make good money and use as a stepping-stone for their next opportunity.

    Advice to Management

I'm not convinced that the current investment banking model is sustainable, particularly during downcycles when pay isn't premium. There are now a number of alternatives which promise just as much money, better work/life trade-offs and more autonomy.

    Pros

The people are fantastic! They do right by their employees and the leadership is very focused on serving their clients and on leading the industry from the front.

    Cons

The onboarding process was virtually non-existent when I started. As a career switcher coming from a completely different industry it would have been nice to have a bit of structure at the get go to ramp up more quickly.

    Advice to Management

Think more boldly about the future. The exponential nature of the growth of technologies will certainly have far more dramatic impacts on society and business than the majority of people currently understand. This presents many challenges but also many opportunities to make bold strategic moves.

    Pros

    Good people, good work environment

    Cons

Too laid back, sometimes lacking clear direction in what needs to be done. High number of average to below average workers

    Advice to Management

Need to work on a strategy to motivate the work force and hir the best, that will drive revenue
