Advice to Senior Management
Stop making daily changes and create stability, consistency and credibiility
Pros
Compensation and benefits are above average. There are ample training opportunities, both technology and business related. There are an abundance of talented colleagues.
Cons
I had two of the worst managers I've ever had in my 25 years of working experience. One couldn't care less about anything except playing with his iPhone all day and the other was the ultimate micro manager. Everyone there is in cover my ass mode, no responsibility taken for anything. Desktop technology is hopelessly outdated and the technology provided for remote access is laughable, I had better remote access in 1988. Ridiculous layers of process to get anything done. Bottom line is I couldn't stand being there every single day.
Advice to Senior Management
Jeez can you try to not screw every client and government agency you work with? It really got old reading about UBS being sued or litigated every week, all across the globe. Integrity is not exactly pervasive across the organization.
Pros
Global opportunity for employees, very easy to change regions.
Cons
Lots of systems doing the same thing.
Advice to Senior Management
Reduce costs.
Pros
Depending on which area you work in its a good bank to work for. Corporate center is not treated good at all in pay or in bonuses. Advice is do not join the corporate center.
Cons
Corporate center is demotivated from doing their best, very large turnover, creates a large operational risk. Everything was pushed out to corporate center IT, Risk, Operations.
Advice to Senior Management
Create opportunities, be flexible and motivate employees.
Pros
Salary and benefits and lay off package :)
Cons
The way some managers treat people

as well, please do cuts in one time, not all year-round. Its really bad for the staff morale.
Pros
Great facilities and office environment. A large institution therefore opportunities for growth when the company at large is performing well.
Cons
Politics mixed with greed evitably creates people that are okay with backstabbing one another in the hopes of outshining their peers.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep your balls entact when dealing with senior management to make sure the right people are kept while the useless are cut.
Pros
A "not great/ not bad" place to work, but high turnover
Cons
High turnover..pay not competitive enough
Advice to Senior Management
