I worked at UBS as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Staff was friendly, senior management team was very supportive. Definitely significant opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

Very high turnover rate and could have a more structured analyst program. The financial services industry has ups and down and i get that the cyclial nature of the industry probably had an effect.

location and traffic are the only real downsides. parking can be a hastle and they don't reimburse for hot lanes.

    I worked at UBS

    Pros

Certain people in the office really do try to make this office a better place to work with the occasional cupcake days or free lunches

    Cons

Most people are not happy here, though this may just be a consequence of a bad market regardless of where you work

I have been working at UBS

    Pros

Great environment to work in. I really enjoyed the people I worked with. I found information sharing to be welcomed and any question I ever had was welcomed. Great place to start a career. A lot of very intelligent people will surround you.

    Cons

Dont have a lot of negatives to say. At times there can be some oversight between upper level management and some of the lower level employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to relate more to employees and keep them in the loop.

    I worked at UBS

    Pros

big bank, great place to network, people are always willing to answer your questions. Senior vice-presidents were very nice. Good place to gain experience and learn investment strategies

    Cons

growth within the industry is limited, can be stressful at times in order to meet client deadlines, not alot of downtime sometimes alot of filing when there is not much work

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A training seminar in the beginning for the interns, overall it was pretty well organized but wish they have intern more involved.
