    Pros

It was a great experience. I was able to research many different disciplines. I wish my career as a student would never end

    Cons

You get paid nothing for the actual amount of work you put in. I wish that they would have a larger budget to work with however the state is broke.

    Cons

management doesn't value employees, some offices too run down, takes forever to get things done

    Advice to Management

    Pros

No chances for advancement, no training or mentoring just on the job training. Too far away to be useful ro yravel everyday.

    Cons

Nice and smart people, good pay, good work to lifebalance, nice ammenities, nice space, many floors, good climate control, clean space and quiet.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to the many people that work hard for you, implement the changes that we suggest, instead of juat paying us lip service

I have been working at UCLA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Many benefits including potential pension. Multicultural and international co workers. Standard hours that bodes well for having a family.

    Cons

Can be repetitive and bureaucratic at times. It's a large organization so it can seem easy to feel like a number.

I have been working at UCLA full-time

    Pros

Smart students. great campus setting. Great health and pension benefits. School has a top notch reputation as an excellent University. Many departments are flexible with their work hours. Typical day is 8-5. Chancellor Block is a smart, ethical leader.

    Cons

Have to pay for parking, some people have been there for many years and are not working as top performers. Since it is a State run organization, some bureaucracy.

    Advice to Management

Weed out the dead wood. Figure out ways to incent high level performers beyond salary, since you have limits on salaries.
