    Pros

UC Santa Barbara offers great benefits and is in a nearly perfect location. The managers I work for are extremely helpful and kind.

    Cons

There are few downsides working at UCSB, yet there is not too much opportunity for advancement and the pay is not substantial.

    Advice to Management

    Great job!

I worked at UCSB Faculty Club

    Pros

The respect and knowledge of the staff is above that of most places. Even with several events throughout the year, everyone remains upbeat and enthusiastic.

    Cons

There is quite a bit going on all the time and a lot a contact with staff, faculty because of ongoing events. So if you're not a "people person" I would suggest that this time of environment may not be the best for you.

    Advice to Management

I believe that everyone who works at the UCSB Faculty Club is there because they are hospitable people that want to be there and have the best outcome for service. So because of this the leadership is at it's best.

    Pros

Good coworkers, good atmosphere, no deadlines or pressure, beautiful city and beautiful campus right next to the ocean and beaches

    Cons

low salary, horrible management. No way to advance or improve your salary or skills in any way. Very rigid management system, manages usually don't care/don't listen to employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees more, better compensation, better skills advancement and better working environment: better equipment, more training, more transparent management style
