I worked at UHN Princess Margaret Cancer Center as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

As an undergraduate student, working here gave me a good first look at multiple careers in the health care industry. UHN has a lot of benefits for its employees and they organize many annual events catered towards employees.

    Cons

Because it is a very patient orientated environment and I was working in a clinic that was open M-F, 9-5, taking any time off for personal reasons was very difficult.

    Pros

    Great people to work with.
A lot of techniques which you can pick up over here.
Great for building up skills such as SOP writing.

    Cons

HR is full of people who would rather pawn you off to another department rather then deal with the issue themselves.
Pay is not that great when you are starting off.

I worked at UHN Princess Margaret Cancer Center as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great exposure to an union work environment. Can see that there is good work life balance. They really try to let you get the most out of your internship

    Cons

Unpaid, although you get free parking pass per shift you are expected to come in at least 2 full days a week. However, they are accommidating if you are still in school.

    Pros

Friendly team, work in a family atmosphere instead of a company.

    Cons

The IT team is just small, so may not have as many collaborations as in a big team.
