I worked at UIC Pavilion full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Working here for over 5 years, I had a great time and got to know some really great people. My immediate boss was great and we had a very direct and clear line of communication. Great benefits, they were willing to work around your schedule if you wanted to take classes.

    Cons

Some rough overnight hours while working other days in a standard 9-5 format made planning anything difficult and left me tired. Upper management has changed since I left but had an unclear vision while I was there which was frustrating. Wages were below average which is why I ultimately left.

I have been working at UIC Pavilion as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You can choose the events that you want to work for. You may see some events for free. Works well if you don't know how often you want to or are able to work.

    Cons

Can be very boring at times. Cleanup sometimes takes an extra long time

    I worked at UIC Pavilion

    Pros

Easy job that allows you to pick your own hours. It's a great way to work cool events like concerts. Great, easy going atmosphere.

    Cons

It's just a school job, which means once you graduate you can no longer work there. There's only certain events in the month, which means you don't get paid a lot.
