    Pros

    Big name in the industry

    Cons

Not much team work spirit. No transparent communication from upper management. It's a dying industry comparing to booming technology in the bay area. Terrible culture and management to retain any great talent. People are not very professional there.

    I worked at UM full-time

    Pros

    -Easy barrier to entry
-Decent experience working at a big agency
-The agency is located in a decent area
-You don't have to be smart to work there
-Some of the co-workers are hot

    Cons

-EXTREMELY LOW PAY, (I know what you're thinking, it can't be that bad). I'll put it this way, some interns make the same amount.... If you're resume is empty out of college, this is a good place to start. If not, you have better options.
    -The training is laughable
-Everyone talks behind each other's back
-There is no privacy, all the workstations are right next to each other
-Long hours with no Overtime, (are you kidding me?)
    -Hard to advance
    -Unqualified and incapable management
-Very low lack of moral, everyone bad mouths the company on a daily bases

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more organized, and for god sake, actually be able to use the operating systems you require your department to use. Boost team/employee moral.

    - Laid-back company culture
    - Free Breakfast Fridays
    - Good opportunity for training
    - Lots of perks (industry events, rep outings, etc)

    Cons

    - Huge lack of leadership
    - Career development is not number 1 priority
    - Very long and grueling hours for very low pay
    - Insufficient work/life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Hire leaders, rather than task managers
    - Listen to employee comments/concerns and take action
    - Be more PROactive and less REactive
