I have been working at UMG RECORDINGS full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I would say networking. If you want to meet people in music, film or design this could be considered a good starting place for sure.

    Cons

Quality should be considered over quantity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allowing brands to continue running for long term should be the main objective. Great brands are not created over night. With that said you also need to have people in place that care about those brands. Not number crunchers who do not care about the consumer.

    Pros

With be transitional I don't have much to offer other than to say that In the Supply Chain the management was very respectful to the transitional employees. UMG has an excellent medical benefit package.

    Cons

UMG being a very large company a lot of responsibilities were performed silo environment approach rather than cross functional

    I worked at UMG RECORDINGS

    Pros

There are a lot of different artists you get the opportunity to work with. As an intern you get to attend a lot of shows as well.

    Cons

Depending on what department within UMG you are working for, there is sometimes too many interns so on some days you wont have much to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Only hire up to two interns per department so that everyone is able to get their hands on enough projects in order to learn more.
