    Short lived!

Creative Director (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsI would say networking. If you want to meet people in music, film or design this could be considered a good starting place for sure.

ConsQuality should be considered over quantity.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllowing brands to continue running for long term should be the main objective. Great brands are not created over night. With that said you also need to have people in place that care about those brands. Not number crunchers who do not care about the consumer.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I was transitional with UMG with the purchase of EMI Music

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Los Angeles, CA

ProsWith be transitional I don't have much to offer other than to say that In the Supply Chain the management was very respectful to the transitional employees. UMG has an excellent medical benefit package.

ConsUMG being a very large company a lot of responsibilities were performed silo environment approach rather than cross functional

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

A great place to get experience in the music industry.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsThere are a lot of different artists you get the opportunity to work with. As an intern you get to attend a lot of shows as well.

ConsDepending on what department within UMG you are working for, there is sometimes too many interns so on some days you wont have much to do.

Advice to Senior ManagementOnly hire up to two interns per department so that everyone is able to get their hands on enough projects in order to learn more.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
