    Pros

The school is improving slowly but growing fast, you get great corporate experience, and they are very flexible with your schedule.

    Cons

You have to pay for parking, raises are unheard of, and getting paid monthly on the 15th is unexcuseable.

    Advice to Management

Take more if an interest in your employees, especially the classes they are taking.

    Pros

The job was simple. The university gives you clear cut instructions on what is and is not part of your job parameters. Learned a lot under my boss there, and most folks were fairly friendly and able to give a helping hand.

    Cons

That being said, it was frustrating when there was a problem I could fix but wasn't allowed to fix it due to being worried about stepping on other's toes. If you're fine with that, great place to work.

    Advice to Management

Cross train as much as possible for different roles.

    Pros

It was a good experience working there and the schedule was very flexible with my school. It was a good environment to work with some people and exchange ideas.

    Cons

The leaders weren't good leaders and they often show favoritism towards employees they perceived as friends. They definitely were prejudice towards minorities such as (blacks). They lack sense of purpose and don't have the qualities of leader

    Advice to Management

Don't deserve to be in the position

    Pros

Good environment and culture. I enjoy the people I work with a whole lot. It makes things much easier to come into work when you enjoy the people you're with.

    Cons

I wish I could earn more. In most cases I need a high degree to earn a high salary in the job.

    Advice to Management

To keep doing what they are doing. It's been a good experience so far in my career. I like my job.

    Pros

If you are in the middle level of the hierarchy and looking towards advancing your degree, it is possible to manage work and study effectively. You will also get discounts towards your tuition fees.

    Cons

A fast growing university (UNC Charlotte) means there will be a lot of work (IT Support, maintainence, etc). It is not a place you are going to love working for a long term (eg: 10-15 years). Can get a bit mundane at times.

    Advice to Management

You do a good job at managing your personnel. Try incorporating periodic raises and perks, which will keep staff happy.
