    Pros

Excellent School, diverse student body and exceptional instructors, many of whom were professors at Harvard, George Mason, Temple and various other prestigious institutions.

    Cons

As an adult student I found that the most interesting course offerings were offered during daytime hours only. This severely limits the range of the overall collegiate experience for adult learners.

    Advice to Management

Offer more of a diverse selection of courses for evening students as opposed to courses that could be found on the community college level.

    Pros

Not the typical internship or graduate assistantship at UNCC. Had the opportunity to network, apply my degree, and learn about the UNC System.

    Cons

The pay period was twice a month, which was unusual. Otherwise, it was great.

    Pros

I come from a foreign country, so I experienced the southern hospitality. The people are very nice and helpful. I worked for the Graduate school and it has been one of the nicest experience.

    Cons

Conservative. Some people in the upper ladder can be too much self-centered.

    Pros

Lots going on in the campus.

    Cons

Doesn't feel progressive. Lots of people smoking all over campus. Poor recycling.

    Pros

Very flexible scheduling. You tell them how many hours you can work each week, and then its up to you to actually work said number of hours by weeks end.

    Cons

If you are going to park on campus you still have to pay for a parking pass.

    Advice to Management

Maybe think about providing parking for students who are employed by the university, which includes refunding the cost of permits that were already bought.

    Pros

Working at the university provides a great deal of flexibility and an exciting work environment. There is a great deal of positive energy and the students show a great deal of appreciation for the work that is done.

    Cons

The faculty & staff relationship is sometimes tough. Many faculty have never been outside of academic world and do not know how to relate to or work with people on a regular basis. The pay is a good bit lower than you would find in the private sector.
