I worked at UNC Charlotte full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Departments worked very well together and communication tended to be direct. Most staff and administrators are friendly and helpful.

    Cons

As part of the larger UNC system, there are limitations that departments must work within, sometimes without much notice or explanation.

I worked at UNC Charlotte part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good work-life balance, very caring atmosphere, lots of events with really good food, lots of professional development opportunities. Almost everyone works really hard and there is no a lot of backstabbing going on.

    Cons

The price of parking is very high and the parking options are not ideal. Traffic is terrible. Sometimes the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. There will be programming that matches up perfect with a department, but that department won't know anything about it and get bombarded with student and community questions.

    I worked at UNC Charlotte

    Pros

work hours are flexable. The opportunity for networking and professional development is high. It is not as stressful and the people are very kind. It is a close knit community and if there is nothing to do you can always do homework.

    Cons

Pay is not the best and the workload can get high and stressful sometimes. With class clashing with work, it can get tough especially during exam times.
