    Pros

When I worked in operations, the job was great except for the low pay.

    Cons

When I went into management, they tried to suck the soul out of me and then laid me off for no reason and made me sign a document stating that I could never work for UPS for the rest of my LIFE??????????

    Advice to Management

Don't go into Management at this company. Understand that without the workers then none of your packages move anywhere. Stop forcing your part time supervisors to treat their employees like crap.

    Pros

Great benefits, fair pay, and good people

    Cons

Upper level management does not do an active job of solving revenue-limiting problems.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your lowest level of employees. You emulate the military in so many ways. The military now makes great efforts to collect feedback from the lowest levels. It will save you money if you do the same. Some of your processes limit revenue because of unnecessary bureaucracy. Also, risk aversion is great, but relax a little. And ADVERTISE MORE OF YOUR SERVICES.

    Pros

Strong company with opportunities for advancement

    Cons

Some things will never change. Make an impact on those things you can change and learn to live with the things you cant.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be consistent approach to managing each operation. External factors have to have allowances for deficiencies in some areas. Sometimes "things just happen"

    Pros

Excellent reputation, solid company, does have stability.

    Cons

Can be cut-throat and very political. The current leadership is not bold and dynamic in their thinking, they run the company like it is still in the 80's

    Pros

Some of the supervisors are cool.

    Cons

Closest thing to slave labor I have ever encountered.

    Advice to Management

Workers are humans, not machines. Take it easier on them.

    Pros

The pay per hour is very good for anyone in college.
You only have to work a set amount of hours every week so it is very easy to schedule around.
    Job itself is pretty easy.

    Cons

Some of the people that you'll work with are not qualified to be in management.
Limited promotion opportunities because no one ever leaves. You have to be willing to relocate to move up
