    Pros

    Stable company, culture-driven, revenue focused.

    Cons

Because the company is so large, there are a ton of processes (or lack thereof) in place that really hinder your ability to do work. Very top heavy company; slim opportunity for advancement in your current role, will likely have to move to other positions within the company (often a lateral move vs. promotion); culture not suited to keep new, millennial talent. Limited budgets to do any real events and comms initiatives.

    Advice to Management

We fill out an employee survey every year and the same issues always come up - salary, limited opportunities for advancement, voice not being heard, etc. They need to focus on these issues and actually make them better.

    Pros

Great benefits for a part time supervisor. They also have the earn to learn program, and discounts on just about everything.

    Cons

It gets really intense in there when it's work to be done. It's really not even that bad though. I don't have any real complaints.

  3. Great benefits, very corporate

I worked at UPS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good salary, great health benefits, nice people, work from home allowed, unlimited sick days, good work-life balance

    Cons

Slow decision-making, no investment in web, slow personal growth, stagnant atmosphere, limited promotion opportunities, siloed environment with little cross-team communication, fragmented teams

    Advice to Management

Embrace the digital age and try to be more nimble! Young people won't want to join your company if you're not able to move more quickly. And having to wait 2+ years for any sort of promotion is frustrating.

    Pros

Great opportunities opening up with all the retirements coming up in the next 5 years. Good benefits. Work/Life balance is good.

    Cons

Very conservative culture, out of touch with market, hard time hiring millennials, systems and procedures out dated, no tele commuting opportunities, pay not on par with market and similar size companies.

    Pros

Steady place to work. You can literally work yourself from the bottom up to the top if you are willing and able to put up with it for years.

    Cons

This company does not value education. It is all about seniority. Feel free to educate yourself on your own but it won't be a feather in your cap for advancement. It's all about who you know and if the gatekeepers like you

    Advice to Management

Numbers are not everything. Raw data doesn't account for the intangibles.

    Pros

Customer oriented, help to grow the community and most of all very friendly to connect them as a family. To engage customers in the sales and service process, Identifying customer needs and help them with small business development, mailboxes etc. Great place to work with to grow the business with the leading known brand

    Cons

Corporate oriented. We have to depend on the corporate for the shipment delays etc. Cannot express my views and ideas to grow the business.

    Advice to Management

Should give importance to employees thoughts and views. Should be a full time position.

    Pros

The benefits package you receive at UPS is outstanding.

    Cons

Not enough advancement in the company unless you become an underpaid and overworked supervisor.

    Pros

Of course it is well managed and has a great balance sheet, you will never fear for your job or job security. The company if stocked with motivated people who come from average back grounds but have the opportunity to do great things if they work hard.

    Cons

Personally I worked a lot of hours and traveled a great deal. Frequent relocations was a requirement although it is less so now. The really big Con however is that if you like taking risks and pushing the envelop on change, this is not that company. They move slowly and methodically, perhaps boring could be a description.

    Advice to Management

Think about a better balance of leadership; there are too many "process" driven people who will do what you tell them and ask no questions. Not enough people who are willing to think outside the box (pardon the pun).

    Pros

Ethical and professionally run company that is concerned for its employees. Salary and benefits are very competitive.

    Cons

Overly aggressive timelines and never ending deadlines burn out employees.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to balance deadlines and workload so employees can maintain engagement and thrive.
