    Pros

Good benefits pay is decent for non skilled labor

    Cons

Very hard on your body if you stay. Management is usually heartless. Production is all that matters. The company will drive you crazy if you care

    Advice to Management

Not all employees are of the same ability. Supervisors are not well trained and fail to properly train employees. Methods are very bad for employees long term health

    Pros

Women are not safe at UPS. Don't even bother. It won't change anytime soon.

    Cons

I was physically assaulted and then fired. It is called Retaliation and is absolutely illegal. But it happens anyways at UPS!

    Advice to Management

    Don't call us "hourlies."

I have been working at UPS part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

benefits, I have to enter at least 5 words....

    Cons

no full time advancement, management has 0 intelligence, very negative work environment, no incentive, no opportunity, will be part time forever, horribly operated, equipment is outdated, broken, or useless,

    Advice to Management

quit and hire people who know what they are doing, which wouldn't be difficult, a bunch of 5th graders could do better

I worked at UPS part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Like a big family Pacific Coast Benefits Trust (401k) Medical Good People Nice workout Cosco Pizza Opportunity to advance quickly to; Sorter Floor manager UPS Driver

    Cons

Never again. It could be a great place to work. However the time i worked there I was fired because I got hurt on there faculties and had to pay my own medical bills. Was fired because I got hurt at work and was told I was in breach if missing work in my "3 month PROBATION PEROID" even when I was under doctors care. They would pay me for 19hrs when I kept track of my hours and tally'ed up 23hrs. Little things like that. The time I worked there the manager was skimping the dock workers and everyone got checks for HUNDREDS years they worked there. He was fired, but he was the one I reported to. it was all hush hush. Now its has probably been all cleaned up. Its an adventure...

    Advice to Management

Act as 1 entity. DO NOT have a new hire fire anyone. Floor managers (young guns) need to look out for safety BEFORE, PPH. It can get intense for new hires.

I worked at UPS (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Hours are short, four to four and one-half a day.

    Cons

Managers are verbally abusive and rarely give a reason for any action. There is absolutely NO TRAINING, unless you count watching a video as training. I worked there for ten years and still didn't know what many of the acronyms meant, the only upside was that I absolutely knew I was meant for something better.

    Advice to Management

    Train your employess.

    Advice to Management

Need to monitor the Supervisors and Management better, and have programs for Managers/Supervisors with bad personalities.
