I have been working at URAC full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

URAC is a strong and growing leader in healthcare accreditation. In 2012 financial performance and employee morale had plateaued. In August, 2013 a new CEO, Kylanne Green, was hired. COO William (Bill) Vandervennet joined URAC in 2012. New and successful products and partnerships were created in 2013-2014. Therefore, staffing was adjusted to align with the new business priorities. Full year 2014 metrics will likely result in a record for new business development, renewal sales and customer satisfaction scores.

    Cons

Organization is innovating at a fast pace.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Wide variety of products makes job interesting for small company
Consultative based reviews are liked by customers
Strong products for a few lines (pharmacy, health management)
    Bonus program

    Cons

Executive team in disarray with most replaced in 2013, including CEO.
Poor planning and coordination led to revenue shortfall, and loss of bonus.
Major layoff at end of year. Turnover very high.
Staff not valued or motivated by executive team.
Few opportunities for advancement due to small size.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value and support the staff. Demoting titles after layoff doesn't help morale. Promote team coordination.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
