I have worked at better places and worse places.

Project Manager (Current Employee) Tampa, FL

ProsIt is a large enough company to maintain a secure working enviroment during hard times. There are opportunities for travel and transfer to other cities or countries. Total benefit package is considerably better than most engineering companies. A large number of the employees that do leave the company wish they had not left, and want to come back.

ConsThe company is so large at over 50,000 that the individual is often lost in the masses. The paperwork, regulations and procedures are often over bearing. It is similar to working for the Federal government.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen more to the employee complaints, and actually act on some.

    Former Corp IT

Systems Engineer (Former Employee) Tampa, FL

ProsDirect exposure to a lot of different technology.

ConsIT Leadership is basically non-existent. No clear IT path exists and the direction, or lack of direction, depends on who is the favorite pet of the month. All managers have an ego and the group has too many chiefs who are more interested in their own Ego over getting anything done.

Advice to Senior ManagementRetire and allow new blood to take over.

Old School Company with no talent

CORP IT (Current Employee) Tampa, FL

ProsYou can basically just sit around and do nothing and collect a paycheck.

ConsIT Leadership is clueless. Political fights between business divisions. Ego's everywhere.

Advice to Senior ManagementAdvice to the board. Get new Management.
