    Pros

You work in an environment that provides experiences such as handling weaponry, Battlefield Preparation, Sexual Assault Prevention & Response, and Uniform code of Military Justice.

    Cons

You are constantly tested while in a new stressful environment that pushes you to the breaking point physically as well as mentally.

    Advice to Management

Continue to train others as well, if not better, as you have trained me.

    Pros

Awesome pay and benefits; and for the most part, promotion is all about you. There aren't many places that will give you all the pay, benefits, and opportunities that the Air Force (and other branches) will with only a high school diploma.

    Cons

Time away from family, but that's to be expected in this profession.

    Pros

The best leadership experience ever. I had several opportunities I would have never embraced had it not been for the Air Force

    Cons

The fact that it had to end was not so good however even the con has pros to it.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. This is the best Air Force in the world. None other.

    Pros

Love what I do. Lots of room for advancement. Get to work on highly advanced equipment. Fast paced work environment. Best benefits.

    Cons

Horrible hours. Military commitment required for all positions. Sent wherever you are needed. Always deployable. Be prepared to test for any advancement.

    Pros

Amazing benefits, great environment, they really take care of their own there and make sure that everyone gets along like a family

    Cons

A lot of civilian jobs are temporary and they can move you around, so you're not guaranteed a job where you live

    Pros

The USAF provides great pay, benefits and lifestyle, assuming you can handle periodic deployments overseas.

    Cons

Deployments of up to six months long, with long hours at times; however, you do get a sense of honor, brotherhood and hard work that other jobs cannot supply.

    Advice to Management

Weigh the pros and cons of joining the military. It's not for everyone, though not because it's difficult, but because some people just don't have the sacrificial mindset necessary to participate.

    Pros

Great place to work. Teaches you responsibility and great values. Benefits are excellent. Great upward mobility if you study, work hard and volunteer.

    Cons

Work life balance. Could be a strain of family life.

    Advice to Management

Hold each rank accountable. The chain of command should work up and down.

    Pros

Relationships both personal and professional from the diverse group of people. The wealth of knowledge contained by all those at the location was unparalleled.

    Cons

The location did not appeal to a lot of people at Columbus, Mississippi. However, the area was undergoing commercial and private development in part largely due to the tremendous economic impact of the military installation.

    Advice to Management

Take the counsel of those around you into advisement when making decisions. Again, the wealth of knowledge was unparalleled but sometimes was stifled by someone trying to prove a point.
