    I worked at US Army full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Training, team building, comraderie, real world experiences, education opportunities, and world travel. Just a few of the best reasons to work for any military branch.

    Cons

    Could be put into life endangering situations. Tracking paperwork and making sure it goes to the right people in a timely fashion can be frustrating. "Hurry up and wait" is a unofficial motto.

    Advice to Management

    Overall great experience! Valuable experience for all life offers. Keep the education up!

    Wonderful healthcare, extensive training, hands on experience, ability to get in shape for free, and an overall sense of family in your unit.

    Cons

    Extremely long work hours as mission dictates, extensive time away from family and loved ones, not the best food in the world

    Enable young adults to establish a solid foundation to build on. Encourage financial responsibility. Promotes Teamwork

    Time away from family Very Demanding Deal with promoted personnel not ready for that level of responsibility Can be bias

    leadership can screw you over easily, no real control over your life for the length of your contract

    change the way leaders are put into leadership positions, make some types of annual training less boring.
