I have been working at US Army full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great benefits, opportunity to live in various locations in and outside of the U.S. Work with people who care about their job.

    Cons

Lack of tech progress. We still use systems that are 20 years old. Toxic leaders are every in the Army. A lot of senior Army leaders believe that since they are a certain rank they know everything. This is far from true

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A lot of the upper management is the problem of the Army and not the solution. They need to realize you can't solve the challenges of today with the solutions of yesterday.

I worked at US Army full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

For most people, the army is what you make out of it. By leading, having great soft skills and collaborative skills and i learning how to take order and produce results timely, you will climb the latter fast quickly.

    Cons

Leadership can be a pain, as in completing projects in a time consuming and ridiculous manner.
A deployment to a danger zone could potentially alter your life significantly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find efficient and effective way to execute needs of the army not only on the the highest level, but on the lowest level.
