    Pros

    Very flexible in work scheduling. I work 6:30am-3pm so I can beat traffic and pick up my child from daycare before 5pm. We get 12 work from home days a year to use to take care of our personal business while still being productive.

    Cons

    The process improvement team has good intentions in improving processes but excludes input from those who actually use the processes usually leading to only more work and more inefficiencies. Being bought out by Sysco and likely to relocate entire office to Houston, TX.

    Pros

    The salary at US Foods is ok. New technologies were used, so you can learn them and put them on your resume'.

    Cons

    Benefits package is below average. Team structure is disorganized. Teams are composed of 80% consultants/contractors. Upper management is disorganized. They communicated to employees that they were preparing the company to go public, only to announce that the biggest competitor SYSCO would acquire US Foods.

    Pros

    Love the people I work with; my supervisor is very open to suggestions

    Cons

    Vacation time did not match my last job; our big manager is always talking about the team, but I don't feel like I am part of any team, he treats our department different from the other.

    Pros

    Open, collaborative atmosphere. High visibility and accountability of executives. Focus on innovation in products and services. Great opportunity for advancement and adding resume-building responsibilities with pending merger.

    Cons

    Sales organization is mostly comprised of order-takers, not true sales people. Only motivated by "What's in it for me?" i.e. commissions and spiffs. Poor support of divisional leadership for corporate initiatives.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Focus on directing resources toward talent recruiting and building bench-strength. Integration of the two companies will take years, so need to keep the company performance on the rails, and need to double-down on incentives to attract talent.

    I got a paycheck. That's about the best thing I can say. I gave one star because I don't think I could give anything less.

    Cons

    I was promised 3 months severance pay 2 years ago and I still have not received it. I don't trust the leadership in the legal department.

    Pros

    Attempt at creating positive culture. Company had been winning in marketplace. Many nice people.

    Cons

    Acquired by Sysco but not closed yet. Acquisition creates a very uncertain pessimistic future. Leadership trying to convince folks to stay but not convincing. Only a handful will benefit from acquisition and it will clearly be bad for customers, competition and employees. FaceTime culture is not modern.

    Quit trying to convince people there is opportunity when they know better.
