    ProsLearning this trade in the USMC will give you great real world knowledge and work place experience. It will truly set you up for success if you choose to stay in the Marines for life or just a few years.

    ConsYou time on active duty will be tough. You will move often and work hard. The Marine Corps is not just a job it is a way of life. It will follow you home every night and every weekend. You will never have privacy or the ability to do anything without advanced detailed planning.

    ConsLong hours, Doesn't feel very voluntary once your in. Hire ups aren't very educated.

    Advice to Senior ManagementMake training more appealing. Its to old school boring and pretend. Make it more real world. we are in the 21st century and still act like were about to invade Normandy.

    ProsMarines accomplish amazing things in spite of inconsistent support and misguided leadership.

    ConsFocus is not on mission readiness and mission success. Middle management - Officer and Enlisted alike - are concerned about their personal promotion prospects and not mission or Marines.
