    Pros

Traveling the world at a young age. Learning what it means to act professionally and responsibly.

    Cons

Being subjected to the bright ideas and poor leadership qualities of individuals who have been promoted as a result of years served rather than competency.

    Advice to Management

Redesign the promotion system to take a more personal look at each individual and whether or not they truly deserve to be promoted.

I worked at US Marine Corps full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Marine Corps teaches you discipline, respect, honor, how to drink like a man and wipe out the other guy.

    Cons

Spend a lot of time away from home, get some real saps for leaders occasionally, you have around 200,000 superiors in the beginning. Meh, man up.

    Advice to Management

Don't be a little girl, get your posterior out front and lead like Chesty. Most enlisted are good to go, officers are gamble, against a stack deck.

    Pros

It'll be a life changing experience, however experiences may vary. Don't regret a thing though.

Can be hard on personal morale, lots of old "traditions" exist on how things are done that aren't efficient or make sense.

    Advice to Management

Decentralize power even more, give more to the NCO's. Change the promotion system for picking up Cpl.
