I worked at US Supreme Court as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

I learned so much, and gained more experience than I ever would have thought possible. It was tons of work, but ultimately the most valuable thing I ever did as an undergrad.

    Cons

It was an unpaid internship, but that didn't really matter to me. Being able to work in the SCOTUS building, and seeing the justices on a regular basis... Priceless, I'd say.

I worked at US Supreme Court full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Government job with all the perks, friendly atmosphere where most everyone gets along, people are very congenial, Christmas party is the bomb!

    Cons

Government and all that entails, very hierarchical structure, don't mess with the Justices, we have done it this way for the past 30 years and we have no plans to change...

I have been working at US Supreme Court

    Pros

    -great work/life balance
    -lots of time off
-very flexible and work environment is good (everyone get their own office)

    Cons

-advancement is hard to come by unless you're willing to relocate to the East coast (DC)
-paid are not base on merit, it's base on length of service.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Paid people base on the level of difficulties of their job not because they have been around for a long time.
