    Pros

Wonderful benefits, company is top notch in that area.
    Customer Service is stellar.
Best company as far as Call Centers go.

    Cons

-New schedule is to work every Saturday.
-Strict daily schedule/breaks/lunches timed and monitored.
-Everything is intensely monitored and there is high pressure to perform call after call.

    Advice to Management

Saturdays should be half days or every other.

    Pros

Good pay, excellent benefits, they sure can throw a nice Christmas party, a wide range of schedules are available such as five day or four day options, daycare onsite, up to $100000 a year in education benefits.

    Cons

Management of time on the phone is closely monitored and phone reps have stringent sales metrics to adhere to. It's tough on those with young families because unplanned time off is frowned upon. Unfortunately, unless you are at the corporate office, once on the phone, that is probably where you will stay.

    Advice to Management

I've been very lucky and have had good managers so have nothing to add here.

    Pros

Great company who focuses on our military, and really cares about their employees. Taking special care to provide work/life balance in most departments, benefits, and compensation.

    Cons

The Mortgage department is a very stressful environment [I've been in the industry for 18 years] this was the worst stress I had ever been under.

    Advice to Management

listen to your processors, closers, and underwriters. [not the managers of the department] The actual employees completing the every day tasks.

    Pros

USAA definitely takes care of their employees as far as health, education reimbursement, 401k, child care on site, food court/cafe account (swipe your badge, deducted at pay period) benefits. Compensation is good salary, yearly bonus, overtime offered during cat storms, 2nd shift weekend premiums. Most people are friendly and a lot of tenured employees.

    Cons

As with any customer service position, we do what's best for the customer not necessarily what's right.
