Pros – Diverse yet compatible staff. Management is appreciative and tries to keep the work interesting and fun.
Cons – Competitive industry, constant changes, not always for the better.
Advice to Senior Management – Learn from the past.
Pros – Looks good on a resume and the owner occasionally picks a "favorite" to shower with raises etc.
Cons – -Owner micro-manages, has disdain for salespeople and tactics
-No HR means the owner can say things about people's personality, family life etc. without regard for what is appropriate in the workplace or even socially acceptable
-constantly changing and nonsensical comp plans, reorganization etc.
-Owner/CEO treats people like absolute dirt on a dime, calls random meetings about nothing and throws absolute tantrums when somebody disagrees with him
-High turnover rate. They'd rather hire people who require less money than compensate fairly people who have put in time and work
-Success is based on being a total yes man to a guy with a Napoleon complex
-understaffed in IT and other depts means some parts of the company barely work when employees are out on vacation etc
Advice to Senior Management – Give things time to work, create actual marketing materials, create a legitimate training program
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
