I worked at UST Global full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Ust global offers lexible timings, which is very helpful indeed. Ust is not strict for the hours you need to have on daily or monthly basis. Also the variable component of salary is very less and the company is employee friendly.

    Cons

Ust global though offers a salary with very less variabld component, most of the time the salary is not competetive enough to the industry standards. In Ust, the dress code is something which you dont like, you are supposed to wear formals with light colour shirt and tie all days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Dress code is something which irritates more people. Restrict the tie for 2 days a week.

I worked at UST Global full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You can easy build up a network of interest group. You have everything needed for growth. Easily swap roles if you have sufficient contact in RMG (Resource Management group)

    Cons

Small company, rather growing company. Highly localized, least known by people in the industry.
    Projects are mostly crap
Very less brains to shape up the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are growing in the right direction. add more people from different areas of expertise in the top management. Keep your aesthetics safe keep a uni-coloured logo on a long term basis

    Pros

    Good Location.
    Technopark layout is good.

    Cons

A lot of things that are currently in place

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more assured in your decisions. Cultivate ambitions and be non-partial in your dealings. The presence of cultural segregation is thick in the air.

Disregard positive reviews[Mind -ve reviews for your career] of any Indian company including Google India

Former Employee - Associate Project Manager in Thiruvananthapuram (India)

I worked at UST Global full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Nothing pros about this company except getting salary if your'e a mediocre

Very Important: One must disregard the positive reviews about any company on any job board in India. Corruption is
high here and never forget. Best to gauge a company from -ve employee review/s.

    Cons

    1. Un-imaginable extent of politics

    2. Trust me, senior mgmt doesn't even know what is management from developed countries perspective.

    3. This company uses job agency [by interview harass call-stress continuously to own employees] to keep employees in control. Follows cmd+cntrl approach towards employees. Only few employees can gauge what & how is this happening?

    4. Snr management highly localized narrow mind setup. Becareful folks

    5. your career stuck easily here and one gets frustated easily in a few yrs joining but can't come out of the company even attending several interviews [if your'e intelligent skillful being]

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company needs revamping before affecting society highly.

Current Employee - Systems Analyst in Thiruvananthapuram (India)

I have been working at UST Global full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Small company so some specific HR policies are flexible unlike big players (tcs, infy, wipro)

    Cons

Highly unstable company. Hard to find a good project. A lackluster RMG team who are not at all proactive in allocating projects to people on the bench.

Firing people who are on the bench without providing opportunities. 3 of my teammates from my last project got fired when they were on bench. They were given 60 days to find a new job! Very scary. One of them had been working with UST for more than 2 years. Also read an article in Deccan Chronicle that around 800 employees were fired. I'm sure that's true as I personally know these 3 cases where the firing has happened.

Formal Dress code on ALL days - including wearing a tie for men. In a place like Thiruvananthapuram where the climate is humid and sultry, this becomes a pain. Almost all companies allow casuals on Fridays, but not UST!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to utilize the bench more effectively and get someone responsible to manage the RMG operations.

Why do you recruit employees if you want to fire them? Very sad situation.
