I worked at USTA as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

I really ENJOYED working with Facility Operations Dept - I lived their mission statement. I ran office, answered all incoming calls/logged all requests/issues and resolved problem to the Vendors satisfaction. I would call Guess Services, Maids and share concern of vendor suites. In addition, I helped assigned the Maids and translated in Spanish any issues, concern or demands the suites made to the Maids and Supervisor in order to satisfy the customer's request. I hold the USTA experience highly and gave 100% service because I took pride in being a part of the USTA team.

    Cons

too short of a time for me.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I like to suggest for next time, that any Supervisor hired should speak both languages (English/Spanish) in order to supervise and communicate properly. Especially when 95% of the team members are Spanish speaking, as well as thesupervisor . In my case, I had to translate to my immediate supervisor all complaints and or inquires that were made by Suites vendors and co-workers because she did not understand the English language. I felt that I had two positions (1) Administrative Assistant and the other position as a translater. I didn't mine because I like to extend myself and help others and more important I am a team member! I am making this suggesting so others in the team can work better and be happier during they stay at the USTA. I really enjoyed working at the USTA and meet many wonderful people during my three (3) weeks stay. I look forward to working again with the USTA.

I worked at USTA part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Reasonable hours, wonderful staff. Working for them was a once in a lifetime experience. Hope I have the opportunity to do it again.

    Cons

Hours not flexible, with limited ability to take days off. Most positions are easily replaceable, so if you do not do your job they will find someone else who will.

I worked at USTA full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I learned a great deal working at USTA. They hire the best and the brightest and the atmosphere is competitive yet pleasant. It was an honor to work for them. Very positive, forward-thinking leadership.

    Cons

Depending on your supervisor, the hours can be very long & unrealistic. Overall though, company-wide there is a very good work/life balance.

I have been working at USTA

    Pros

You'll get a lot of experience in working on a lot of different projects.

    Cons

No upward mobility. You'll feel overworked and under valued. The culture of a young, fun, entertainment company isn't there. There is a lot of separation between the top and the bottom.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value employees more they aren't interchangeable parts.
