    Pros

Very helpful group. They love to get kids into the door and help them build skills for the future.

    Cons

Not much intiative try and keep interns on or promote that they are hiring and really want you. Also some interns, like myself, ran out of things to work on. The internship was too short term for me to work on the majority of what was going on. Very few small projects were given out.

    Advice to Management

More structured work for interns as well as update their mobile and online presence.

    Pros

I learned a great deal working at USTA. They hire the best and the brightest and the atmosphere is competitive yet pleasant. It was an honor to work for them. Very positive, forward-thinking leadership.

    Cons

Depending on your supervisor, the hours can be very long & unrealistic. Overall though, company-wide there is a very good work/life balance.

    Pros

The people are great to work with
You get the opportunity to work on high priority projects no matter what your title
There is a serious longevity here
Great if you want to stay exactly where you are

    Cons

Unless you want to be in the position youre hired at for your entire time there, it isnt the company for you
If youre not in marketing you wont go anywhere

    Advice to Management

Consider promoting from within, alot of people work hard for you but get shown no appreciation

    Pros

    1) The USTA has a great group of people working for it who work hard, but also like to have fun.
    2) The US Open is a fantastic event to be a part of
    3) The tri-state area is a great place to live
    4) If you love tennis, it doesn't get any better than working for the USTA

    Cons

The US Open demands a lot of your time, so if you are looking for a 9-5 job this isn't it particularly in late August, early September

    Pros

Great Casual Friendly Atmosphere! Gets you close to NYC without all the frustration of traffic.

    Cons

As told by a superior whose been with the USTA for decades " If you want to make money don't work for the USTA, do something else then come back when your close to retirement to relax and truly enjoy your job"

    Advice to Management

It does not seem like the interns positions were well thought out as many minor tasks would be more beneficial for one department instead of spread out.

    Pros

The work environment is extremely flexible, and it's a place they you know you will make a positive difference in the lives of people.

    Cons

The USTA is a place you could work at for 15+ years, just be sure to get hired to the position you want to be in for that whole time since there is little mobility within the organization once hired.

    Advice to Management

The USTA seems to be a top heavy organization and could benefit from hiring more junior staff that could progress through the ranks.
