    Great company - great people

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    White Plains, NY

ProsI learned a great deal working at USTA. They hire the best and the brightest and the atmosphere is competitive yet pleasant. It was an honor to work for them. Very positive, forward-thinking leadership.

ConsDepending on your supervisor, the hours can be very long & unrealistic. Overall though, company-wide there is a very good work/life balance.

Alot of responsibility without any of the growth in title and salary

    Assistant (Current Employee)
    White Plains, NY

ProsThe people are great to work with
You get the opportunity to work on high priority projects no matter what your title
There is a serious longevity here
Great if you want to stay exactly where you are

ConsUnless you want to be in the position youre hired at for your entire time there, it isnt the company for you
If youre not in marketing you wont go anywhere

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider promoting from within, alot of people work hard for you but get shown no appreciation

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

My experience with the USTA was life-changing.

    Corporate Communications Consultant (Former Employee)
    White Plains, NY

Pros1) The USTA has a great group of people working for it who work hard, but also like to have fun.
    2) The US Open is a fantastic event to be a part of
    3) The tri-state area is a great place to live
    4) If you love tennis, it doesn't get any better than working for the USTA

ConsThe US Open demands a lot of your time, so if you are looking for a 9-5 job this isn't it particularly in late August, early September

    Intern-Marketing USTA

    Intern-Marketing (Current Employee)
    White Plains, NY

ProsGreat Casual Friendly Atmosphere! Gets you close to NYC without all the frustration of traffic.

ConsAs told by a superior whose been with the USTA for decades " If you want to make money don't work for the USTA, do something else then come back when your close to retirement to relax and truly enjoy your job"

Advice to Senior ManagementIt does not seem like the interns positions were well thought out as many minor tasks would be more beneficial for one department instead of spread out.

    Rewarding but limited

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    White Plains, NY

ProsThe work environment is extremely flexible, and it's a place they you know you will make a positive difference in the lives of people.

ConsThe USTA is a place you could work at for 15+ years, just be sure to get hired to the position you want to be in for that whole time since there is little mobility within the organization once hired.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe USTA seems to be a top heavy organization and could benefit from hiring more junior staff that could progress through the ranks.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
