    Pros

    There are plenty of opportunities here to engage in scientific discussion and perform cutting-edge research. There are also a number of excellent career-related resources available to postdocs.

    Cons

    There is a lack of variety of food choices available on-campus, and all food-service closes early (i.e. for people who work late into the evening, it makes finding dinner a little bit challenging).

    There is always an educational event going on

    Cons

    The pay is not great. Since it it mandatory to contribute to retirement, checks are less that what is expected. Also, paying for monthly parking does not help the compensation area.

    Pros

    There is excellent academic environment at UTSW. It is a good choice if you like life science or medical research.

    Cons

    The benifit is good. The 401k match 130% of what you paid.
