I have been working at UTi Integrated Logistics as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Great place to work if you want to be able to see changes made at an entry level position. Pay could be better, but as an intern I thoroughly enjoy seeing what I do, affect the warehouse as a whole. This will be a great stepping stone to my future position and I will speak fondly of this experience.

    Cons

    Unstructured. A little bit unorganized.

I have been working at UTi Integrated Logistics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great place to gain experience and to understand 3PL warehousing.

Good base salary and the benefits are decent

    Cons

Since it is a 3PL, they're always on a shoe-string budget and they don't always hire enough management help to compensate the shift they require (working a lot of overtime for no bonuses or overtime pay)

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

Give you an oppertunity to showcase skills and prove to be good worker.

    Cons

Could give more oppertunity to grow with the company.

I worked at UTi Integrated Logistics

    Pros

The company is flexible with school schedules. They, during the times of recession, did not lay off any shifts because of economical reasons.

    Cons

The atmosphere breeds animosity. Their is little chance of career development. Certain individuals are praised, while others are considered buttom of the barrel. Very little effort is taken to show employee appreciation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company, while I was working there, needed a complete turnaround. Attendance is something that should be evaluated before any other steps are taken. In addition, there should be an incentive in place to show every employee that they are appreciated.

I worked at UTi Integrated Logistics

    Pros

You get your 40 hours in 3 and a half days. Other than that, the office takes to long to make decisions.

    Cons

The management takes too long to make a decision. Then once they do, they expect employees to drop everything and comply with the changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your stuff together and quit holding things up for 4 months at a time. People have lives outside of work.

I worked at UTi Integrated Logistics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    great start out pay
    decent benefits

    Cons

Too much of a good ol boy system there (buddy buddy, mngmt takes care of mngmt)
They utilize snitches and underhanded tactics to keep the leverage on employees.
    Crappy shift schedule
    Low raises
no reward for hard work or effort
Hand picked people for promotion before the paper even goes up to announce position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your hands dirty and jump into it. Want to know whats going on? Start making more of a presence and stop all the upper management politics and favoritism.

I have been working at UTi Integrated Logistics

    Pros

Good opportunity to learn if you are placed at a larger account. Most of the senior leaders (SVP and VPs) are likable and intelligent people.

    Cons

UTi Senior leadership is so out of touch with what really happens at the site level. They probably have no idea that they are robbing people of compensation and people get faux promotions which equate to higher responsibility and zero reward.

Senior leadership only seems to pay people who have worked for the Walmarts, Targets, and other big name supply chains in the world. Don't expect to move up (with compensation) if you don't have one of those companies on your resume.

Leadership over commits and constantly under delivers. Most young, intelligent people at my site have been told they were going to get a raise for over a year now, but some how they keep people hanging on with empty promises.

Too MANY BOSSES!!! Org design is a complete mess

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Deliver on your promises. Create a program that is conductive to keeping young talent. Give internal candidates a shot rather than recruiting washed up talent to fill roles because you can name drop to your client that they are from Walmart.
