I have been working at Ugg

    Pros

    -Free shoes
    -Flexible scheduling
    -Great co-workers
-Very little time spent on closing duties since the sales floor was only display shoes
    -Holiday bonuses for all employees

    Cons

-AWFUL customers. The worst people on the planet. Impatient, picky, rude, condescending, irrational, and just downright mean.
-Change in management made the entire store culture unbearable. The newer management would throw anyone's dignity or time out the window just to make a buck.
-CHEAP. Cut regular associates who were star employees to 10 hours a week while giving season employees 20+ hours since their hourly rate was less.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No one wants to work with you if you don't have your employee's backs. Stop letting greed be your only motivation.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Free boots! The people I worked with were great for the most part.

    Cons

While I was in labor with my daughter, my manager told me he would have to terminate me but not to worry if he had space he would find a place for me. He is no longer there but I was shocked they would have let him do that. It was adjusted later.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Ugg part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Pay and discounts 9that's pretty much it)

    Cons

Basically if they don't like you, you will not get hours. The management team is filled with gossips and being one of the employees they liked I heard it all the time. You won't move up unless your they’re friend. And don't think that they'll like you because you work hard, because they won't. I saw an employee not receive a promotion that everyone thought she was going to get and instead they hired and gave the job the assistant mangers best friend. They are also full of false promises. They will tell you that you'll get promotion and then you find out that they told the same thing to 4 other people. It's not a company you can really grow based on your knowledge and abilities, you have to kiss butt in order to get anything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

visit your stores more often. I have worked in other retail stores and this is the only one that I see that the heads of the company rarely come by. Don't give the managers all the power, in the end it's your down fall. things that should be reported to you aren't because of it.

    I worked at Ugg part-time

    Pros

Free shoes, busy during the holiday season so you'll get more hours. The events are pretty fun as well and good for networking.

    Cons

dies down badly right after holiday season. Slow days feel like forever. Not much growth opportunities its hard to really move up unless you suck up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't only pay attention to the employees who you favorite or kiss your behind. Take a look at hard work.
