    Pros

Good benefits, great people, strong career growth opportunities, tuition reimbursement, 401k matching.

    Cons

I really don't have many cons, other than organizational communication could be stronger

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Ulster Savings Bank part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some wonderful people who work hard and care about customer service.

    Cons

Very low pay for level of daily responsibilities encountered.

    Advice to Management

Break out of the provincial mgmt. style and reward workers who bring new ideas to the table (along with new customers).

  3. It use to be a great bank to work for but since new upper management, the bank is not the same

    Pros

Benefits are good. Training is encouraged.

    Cons

There is a huge focus on being a corporate bank and not a community bank as they claim they are.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiding in your offices and be more pro active with staff.

I worked at Ulster Savings Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are nice, banking knowledge is good to know and take with you, bank holidays, comp days, lots of time off, good benefits (tuition reimbursement, medical and dental, 401k)

    Cons

Pay low for being around money all day, LOTS of favoritism and nepotism (everyone is related and if you don't have a connection, it's difficult to move up)

    Advice to Management

Do teller training and security training closer to the beginning of employment. You never know when a bad situation (robbery) could happen and you want everyone to be prepared.

    Pros

As much work as you wanted it to be. Little pay for the level of work they wanted you to do though.

    Cons

Little pay for the amount of work. Cubicles. Cannot see the outside at all. Not the most friendly climate to work in.

    Advice to Management

As much work as you wanted it to be. Little pay for the level of work they wanted you to do though.
