    I worked at Under Armour

    Pros

Passionate and motivated teammates working for a common purpose - incredible company culture. Vibrant atmosphere. Makes for a cool day when you go from designing a product to working out in the gym with a UA sponsored athlete!

    Cons

Extremely poor college recruiting process. Fantastic summer internship program but no follow-up afterwards in regards to full-time offers even though interns were told that they would be contacted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My biggest piece of advice is for management to get on bored with the college recruiting process - if you can't plan to hire new grads months before their graduation, you'll miss out on a lot of great teammates who want to make a difference at your company.

I have been working at Under Armour full-time

    Pros

Work content is always fun an interesting since the company is growing so fast. No matter what role you are in you get to learn a ton about business that often times has nothing to do with your job description. Some really amazing leaders that you can believe in and can't help but be infected by their passion.
Everyone that works here believes in the product, wears it, and gives it to their friends and family as gifts (nice discount!). Great culture of fitness and health - lots of benefits like a really nice gym, cafeteria, and fun community/employee events.

    Cons

Always moving so fast it sometimes feels as if we don't know which way we are going. Lots of leaders and not enough workers. Some (not all) of management got there more by being there at the right time and not by earning or deserving it. That gets frustrating and sometimes really gets in the way of the success a team can have when under one of those leaders. Getting promoted from within can be hard in some departments - there are so many people being brought in externally that you really have to fight internally to get the opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing - you drive an incredibly passionate organization that the employees deeply believe in.
Try to make opportunities more readily available to current employees - expect them to earn the opportunity and prove they are the best choice - just make sure they have a fair chance at them.

    Favoritism and poor pay

I have been working at Under Armour full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The 50% discount it's the only pro, which it's depressing.

    Cons

    >There is no to little opportunity to move up. Management's friends and family are hired quickly and get promoted fast with little or no experience about the job.
    >Pay is low, almost everyone it's getting pay 4-6 dollars below the standard.
    >Poor training, you have to learn on the job and no job description.
    > Poor management, poor planning and micromanagement.
    > Very little professionalism. Most of the employees don't know how to communicate properly, this includes radios, e-mails and one-on-one conversations.
    >Employee(BBSI) retention is very low because of two factors. One, UA over works their employees. They are constantly pushing them and tell them that they will get replace because they are not performing like they want them to. Second, they pay minimum wage for a warehouse job. Warehouse always pay more because it's not regular labor.
    > The Agency use BBSI agency which is an abusive agency that takes advantage of people. They under pay their employees and they don't manage their employees properly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management in the Rialto warehouse location needs to be change for the most part because of their favoritism practice. They have their sons, wives, friends and what not in the company which makes the workplace uncomfortable environment to work. Everyone knows that their hiring practices and many people are planning of leaving or unhappy with management's decisions.

    Pros

Great work/life balance and the benefits are decent. Company is ethically responsible and cares about the brand and brand protection. Good training on on-boarding process. Decent business systems. Great for first-timers; but for those who come with experience it is a difficult experience. Brand is growing daily and has staying power.

    Cons

Corporate structure works like a silo. Communication within company is inefficient and often people are scared to speak their minds openly. A lot of people pleasing happening. Office culture is very youthful. Maybe even a little too youthful. Feels like a giant frat house sometimes.

I have been working at Under Armour as a contractor

    Pros

The passion and energy for the brand is unlike anything I have experienced anywhere else. The product is great and easy to believe in. The company hosts tons of fun events for their employees and a great discount on apparel.

    Cons

There are so many departments and often times efforts are duplicated. Decisions are not easily made as there are layers upon layers of approvals to go through. The average work week is 55-60 hours. It's intense, they expect a lot from you, but you will work with dedicated, talented people who are very passionate about the brand.
