    Pros

It is a great team atmosphere. Team members are always willing to step in and help one another.

    Cons

Higher management thinks they are above the law. After being there a while they do not give you the opportunity to grow or advance to a higher position.

I have been working at Under Armour full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The people are amazing. The Brand is growing and exciting. I've worked at several fantastic companies before coming to Under Armour. The best thing about being here is that you can have a huge impact, regardless of your level and time with the company. If you have ideas and are results-oriented, you can make a difference. This place is all about passion, winning, and doing great things. I love it and I'm excited to work here now - in the early days. Yeah, the discount and benefits are great, but the work we do? That's the exciting part.

    Cons

If you're about the status quo, this isn't the place for you. You have to be nimble and quick. You have to be willing to have skin in the game. You determine your own balance, but it can be a grind. We are in hyper-growth mode, and that doesn't make for a laid back atmosphere. For me, that's ok. I'm excited and proud to be a part of this brand. It isn't perfect, but, I haven't yet found a place that is.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen. Allow people to make mistakes and grow from them. Keep igniting the passion. Trust and empower people. Communicate - early, often and transparently. Keep doing all the great things you are doing.

I worked at Under Armour full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Gym, friendly people, next to water, close to city, big place and lots to see and do, sports oriented, good pay.

    Cons

A lot of the same personality types, Sports oriented, market heavy operations. Designs has little voice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Diversify, Diversify, Diversify more people from the cultures and places that you want to sell product to in order to get a better understanding of what to market. More travel for designers, more inspirational trips, footwear and apparel designs are inspired by creativity not market heavy analytics and instructions from businessmen, it needs a more definite sense of the culture and market place standpoint.

I have been working at Under Armour full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Working for a aggressive branded company with a leader who has the drive and the passion to see his brand be the leader in the athletic industry.

    Cons

Would have really loved an opportunity to grow within the company and it first it seamed that the sky was the limit but upper management changes really suppressed a lot of the managerial talent with any further advancement opportunities and drove away the talent who really wanted to make a difference.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bottom line is that people work for people. Build the bench, develop the team and support the members who really which to see the brand grow.

Growing too fast to care about employees: unorganized

I have been working at Under Armour full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good employee discount. Great co-workers brand.

    Cons

Very, very unorganized and unexperienced management and HR. No communication between managers and teammates. Crazy, sporadic hours. Managers and HR expected you to drop everything for them to work, while treating you like garbage. Managers lied about benefits and treated employees differently. Instead of helping fix problems in the store they created them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire and teach Management differently to better the employees not just the companies bottom line. Try to keep employees happy in order to spread the UA brand and experience correctly. Don't just care about growth, care about your employees.

    Former Employee - Retail Associate

I worked at Under Armour part-time

    Pros

The merchandise is good quality, and the employee discount is substantial (50%). The brand seems to be expanding. Fellow employees were usually fun to be around.

    Cons

Most of the employees were very friendly, some in management were difficult to work with. There were not a lot of shifts for employees, possibly the store was overstaffed. Some very stringent policies which did not always make sense.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sales associates are the people that work hand in hand with your consumers, you could benefit from the knowledge and suggestions they may have.
