    Pros

UniFirst gives top notch training from the ground up. If you learn their system of selling your will do well in any environment. The compensation is fair, base salary + Commission. This is a good company to work for and it has treated me well. You get out of it what you put in.

    Cons

If you are in a highly competitive environment it can be frustrating winning new business, therefore increasing your bottom line.

I worked at UniFirst full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

They have good benefits and compensation package. Overall good work atmosphere. Competitive products and prices. Position allows for the employee to work independently, and there is a lot of advancement opportunities.

    Cons

It is a sales hunter position. There is A LOT of cold calling F2F and on the phone. Once a sale is made, customer managing, up selling, and service it is handed over to Route service people. Also, if a sales includes multiple facilities sales rep has to hand it over to a National rep. You have to lock customers into 3-5 year contracts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I heard many times from a customer that they wanted to see and build relationship with the sales rep they bought from.

    Pros

Pay and meeting new people everyday. Everyday is different.

    Cons

It's no work/life balance. No one takes responsibility for anything. Company will let you go so fast your head will spin. For no reason on top of that. Get ready to train your replacement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get organized. DSMs have to much on their plate. If you want to keep customers for life. Start doing what you say you're going to do.

    Pros

Casual dress code, cafeteria on site.

    Cons

Company is run by a bunch of wanna be's and brown nosers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate office needs to reevaluate the people they have in charge at this location. Big egos and bad ideas. They will run this business into the ground.

I have been working at UniFirst full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

AWESOME team atmosphere!!! Working here has made it easier for me to be a working mom. I have steady hours that allows me to drop off, and pick up my kids from school/daycare. I love that I get along with all my co-workers whether office staff, sales, service, or production. Working here has brought me a lot closer to my family because I am not missing out on those little moments that I was with my last job. UniFirst is a family, and working here a short amount of time I have been welcomed in to.

    Cons

I guess its all depends on the person, and I haven't ran into anything that I would be consider a CON.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

MANAGEMENT should be just that!!!! They should be able to hold their employees accountable. Being friends on social media, and outside of work makes it harder to hold that employee accountable.
