I have been working at Unicity full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-great group of people -positive atmosphere -rewarding and educational company

    Cons

-not a lot of room for growth or raises -non-compete company mentality -upper management does not seem to share the same vision

    Advice to Management

Get to know employees better. I probably talked to the CEO of the company maybe twice in almost two years of working there. Be more willing to help employees rise up and grow.

    Pros

Executives and Directors are very professional. The office culture is respectful and friendly. The company values are excellent. They are very considerate with those that have family or personal issues to resolve.

    Cons

Not a lot of benefits or perks. Salaries below average.

I worked at Unicity full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When you're "in", you're part of the "family"....some great co-workers that have been helped by the products. This is a line of health and wellness (both nutrition and personal care--vitamins, skin care, etc.). There is constant motivation to be part of the group---lots of meetings and rah-rah sessions. Long hours and no work-life balance, regardless of what you're told. If you want to make money, it becomes your life.

    Cons

If you are a person that operates under an "up front" way of doing business, this isn't for you. Because it's an MLM, there is a "veiling" of that aspect until you reel someone in. "The "opportunity" with the organization is portrayed as a position available (as in a career position...as in a "salary") and the "interviewer" never divulges anything in regard to this being a "buy-in to make money" franchise. If you DO buy into the "dream", you adhere to a strict set of guidelines---it's all a script. You must tell people that you're selling to that the Bios Life products will unconditionally do what they promise....for many people they do work....but not unconditionally. Read the fine print if you join and never back away from what management wants you to do.....all in all, I prefer to be open and honest with everyone up front and that is NOT the way this company operates.

    Advice to Management

If it looks like a scheme and smells like a scheme, it's a scheme....happy I got off the "ride" when I did. Be honest with people...it's not right to lie to others just to make money for yourself.

I worked at Unicity full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay checks were always on time... It's a health and wellness company so they focused on healthy living which I am all for. The have very defined roles and expectations. Both Direct manager's I had their were awesome family oriented people, good role models with a healthy balance.

    Cons

Dis-honest management. "Exec Row" was very intimidating and very few people from the company ever felt they could approach them. Communication between departments sometimes felt hostile. I would have loved to learn more about other people and departments.

    Advice to Management

Play with the people, get to know them a little better. These are people who are in the trenches fighting those odd battles you would prefer not too. Recognize the little people a little bit better, like you do the customers. You do an amazing job in recognizing the distributors and customers, now treat the people at home base like the all-stars they are, and why you hired and believed in them! Introduce culture games and recognition programs that target all employees. Take time to sit with them, do 1-on-1's and learn how the people make you great.

    Pros

Smaller call center where you are able to get to know the people around you.

    Cons

They don't offer a tuition reimbursement program that a lot of call centers in the area do.

    Pros

Friendly people, Good benefits, Good hours. Beautiful location next to Provo Canyon Comprehensive training program Some free time to learn

    Cons

Bad customer service policies Some questionable business practices Dealing with angry, unreasonable customers

    Advice to Management

Do more to please your customers instead of trying to divert blame for mistakes

I have been working at Unicity full-time

    Pros

Fun work environment, nice work/life balance, great middle management

    Cons

Top level management is very religious and create an uncomfortable environment for those that aren't religious. For example, they hold company parties at Mormon churches and ask employees to say a prayer over food. I respect their beliefs, but the workplace is not the place to share them. Employees feel like they need to be a member of their faith to progress within the company.

I have been working at Unicity full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with international team members and customers. Great people to work with. Reasonable pay. Tuition reimbursement. Fantastic operations group.

    Cons

Questionable ethics in upper management team. Too much revenue dependant on very few markets. Management struggles to grow existing markets.

    Advice to Management

Stop listening to the unscupulous advice of the former-President. Streamline your product offering and obey the laws of the land in all the countries you do business in. Keep up the training programs for employees, that is a bright star.
