    Pros

Agile workplace, ability to change roles, continual learning opportunities, lots of great people to work with

    Cons

Poor roll out of strategy, unrealistic work loads, long hours, favoritism in promotion, constant change of strategy and database upgrades that don't make things more efficient, projects lead frequently by too young/green marketing team with more attitude than project management skills, still too beuocratic, and don't plan on a long career as ageism is a trend.

    Advice to Management

Set clear and realistic goals. Improve the onboarding process. Control scope creep. Protect your team from burn out and retain talent. It is a great company and has great products but the fun in work has slowly gone away, now it is a daily grind without break.

    Pros

Exposure to a variety of marketing opportunities
    Friendly culture
    Great brands

    Cons

Politics rule the bigger brands and leave little room for lower level employees to lead
Work-life balance is either too good (meaning not enough work to keep people engaged) or too poor (over-worked, too many projects and not realistic timelines)
Undergraduates coming into marketing are considered in the same pool as MBA hires for manager positions

    Advice to Management

Support your people with better-allocation of resources
Create better incentives to retain MBAs

    Pros

You learn a lot if you're on the right brand with the right manager. Unilever is always looking to try new things (especially if you work in personal care but not so much in foods) so you have the opportunity to work across so many facets of the business.
