I worked at Uninor full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good intentions, good incentives and paid out as promised.

    Cons

Very racial in terms of expats from Norway vs Indian Employees, Indian management better understands Indian market, no point replicating models from Norway,Thailand, Pakistan, Bangladesh in India, none will work here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Delegate authority to Indian management they will deliver, India is a different and more dynamic market, requires expertise to handle, any other model will not fit here, has to be customised for India, you hired the best folks but did not let them lead, instead u got expats from Norway and other european countries to lead all the functions, they have never even dreamt such a market or scale, that is where u fell flat. Give the targets to the Indian management and just monitor based performance DO NOT MICRO MANAGE

    Pros

Gaian is a high growth, young organization with a team of professionals from world's leading Media & Technology companies. Very smart group of people working on a platform which would quite change the way people watch television in the emerging markets. Great times ahead.

    Cons

As it comes with any young organization, things can get chaotic sometimes. There is definitely a scope of improvement when it comes to processes and policies.
