Worked for 5 years at the head office.

Back Office Employee (Former Employee)
Tel Aviv-Yafo (Israel)

I worked at Union Bank of Israel full-time for more than 5 years

ProsSince it's a small bank a worker could be responsible for many different aspects so that there's an amazing opportunity to gain a lot of diverse professional knowledge.

ConsDue to small size of the bank and the permanency it's very hard to get promoted. Many times good employees are not appreciated enough.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere's not enough integrity. Keep your promises regarding salary and benefits and don't change your mind retroactively.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I spent out there three great years. Unfortunately the bank management didn't keep their promises.

ProsThe most of this bank branches are small. This fact gives you an opportunity for better familiarity with your clients.

ConsAs an investment adviser your compensation and benefits are much much lower than in the private investment funds sector.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo be honest. Once you promise something to your employee - keep it, don't change your words retroactively.

Prosgood experience in banking, in a good environment.
overall good atmosphere, after three years of working, one can get permanence, and work until the pension...

Consrelatively small bank, so it's hard to get promotions.
also, the advantage of getting permanence, is sometimes dis motivate, since your job is not in danger.

Advice to Senior Managementto take care in the human resource, since there not enough workshop and studying.
to consider the permanence to employees.
