Not serious about staff reviews and promotion. Virtually no pay increase based on past accomplishments. Middle managers are not empowered to make tough decisions for the benefit of their staff. Preferential treatment to certain staff members. Double standard enforcing policies.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior and Executive management needs to be accountable if contracts are lost to competitors. Very weak sales staff unable to win or renew large federal contracts. To much re-organization that does not address the systemic problems with leadership.

Friendly staff
Good benefits
Cons
Too much Bureaucracy
Poor project management

Cons
There isn't a lot of opportunity to advance, for the most part you can move laterally is several positions, but this is due to low turn over rate in desirable positions.
Advice to Senior Management
Increase the incentive to earn certifications and other applicable knowledge by giving greater pay to those who achieve a certain level of education.

poor management, lack of organization
Advice to Senior Management
treat employees better
Pros
Some of the benefits of working for a large global company, such as supplier discounts, good vacation policy.
Cons
A company that lost it's way long ago, and hasn't found it yet. No commitment to quality.
Advice to Senior Management
Until this company learns to value quality, it will continue to struggle.
Pros

Cons
there was a constant cloud of layoffs.
Pros
People were great, opportunities to move around in functions
Cons
Lacked successful strategies to adapt
Pros
Good benefits, openness to accept new ideas and approaches, time off, informality
Cons
Very political; depends on who you know and report to. Salary administration and levels are out of step. Not enough career paths or movement between different areas.
Advice to Senior Management
Loosen tight senior management control, spend more on development of new and innovative ideas.
