  1. Good Company searching to find it's niche and not be so diversified.

    Pros

Unisys is a very good Company to work for. They offer Flexability, Fair Compensation and Good Benefits. They also offer an excellent learning/training network.

    Cons

Unisys has been going through restructuring pains. We have recently brought in a new CEO and most organizations are being restructered. It is not always easy to have the most current organazational charts with the changes that are currently being made.

    Advice to Management

I think they need to focus on starting at the top and work their way down in the restucturing process, rather than starting at the bottom with people in the field . The feet on the street that bring in the revenue and ensure it's delivered must in place to ensure continued growth and a satisfied customer.

    Pros

Major corporation with entrenched customer relationships. Supportive management and relatively stable sales positions. Positive, genuinely helpful peers throughout the company. Nice benefits package.

    Cons

Lower than average compensation. Constantly changing comp plan to cap individual success. Presidents Club and another sales incentives eliminated. Floundering senior management who appear incapable of leading such a great technology company (prior to Ed Coleman - no opinion on Ed).

    Advice to Management

Run the company as successful technology company. Seek advice from employees and customers.

    Pros

Training, great benefits, challenging projects. Co workers are pleasant. Leadership generally is helpful in provideing direction for the project. Amen.

    Cons

As a governement contractor, and this is no fault of Unisys, you may end up packed into cubicles that have no view of anything.

    Advice to Management

If there is anyway to negotiate to work off site in less crowded facilities, then I would say that is the one thing that would improve the Unisys work experience.

    Pros

Bright people doing the right things - tremendous depth and years of experience. I was able to marshal the right people at the right times to deliver value to my clients.

    Cons

An aging company that was continually trying to reinvent itself, primarily by partnering with younger, more up-to-date firms and solution providers.

    Advice to Management

I would like to see Unisys come to the table with more in-house developed solutions, methods and products. Even though I was cut along with my division I do believe Unisys is heading in the right direction under the new leadership.

I have been working at Unisys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Work Life Balance is awesome and they accomodate when adjustments need to be made. There is also the ability to work from home which is a plus - Management expects a quick response to depends but is always willing to lend a hand and are extremely approachable. - Company culture is amazing, it is a huge corporation with a small business feel with everyone knowing one another

    Cons

With the growth of remote workers there is not as much attention given to the facility in Blue Bell, but other then that the peoeple are awesome.

    Advice to Management

Build a workout facility as many employees express interest in being able to go right from work to the weights.
