    Pros

A few great contracts, dedicated co workers and happy clients

    Cons

service delivery continues to be conpromised by poor management decisions.

    Advice to Management

Focus on service delivery on the very few contracts that remain, rather than continuing to improve profit margins if want to continue in business. Focus on customer satisfaction vice internal corporate measures. Focus the Rentention of the employees that are serving your clients and generating revenue for the company on a daily basis. Execute a sales strategy that aligns with the priorities of the Federal marketplace. Recognize top achievers and exit out non performers. This would prevent the need for yearly lay offs.

    Pros

None that i can think of

    Cons

Mgmt lies, benefits worst in the industry, very disorganized, and give employees no options but to leave

    Advice to Management

Only been w this company for a month (they won a govt contract) and they are unbelievably bad. First they lost a bunch of my coworkers' intake forms that had their ss# on them, then lied when asked what happened. They didn't send some people's paychecks on time and others were wrong (and no direct deposit in over a month), benefits a total ripoff ($3,000 deductible!), and we had to drive to their hq and were forced to sit through 3 agonizing, boring and self-promoting hours of what they call 'orientation'. They also didn't answer any meaningful questions (about paychecks and benefits, for one) - they just sat up there and bragged. So unnecessary and wasteful.
They might have won the contract, but they lost the staff's faith and trust. Lots of good people leaving when all they hoped for was respect and honesty.

    Pros

The work was enjoyable and the client side teams were great.

    Cons

There was very little movement between business units and like most contractors, very little time on the bench.

    Advice to Management

It would behoove the account executives to work on building career plans for their team members rather than dropping them on a contract and forgetting about them until it is time for a recompete.

    Pros

There are some nice people working at Unisys, however I noticed the best people are leaving the company.
Work-life balance, most of the time

    Cons

I've worked at this company for many years and I've watched it go from bad to worse. Terrible culture - the company doesn't care about its people and it shows: no promotions or career pathing, very little training, mgmt even removed coffee from the kitchen so employees have to now bring their own coffee to work - embarrassing. People don't like each other, little information flows down from the mgmt team and there are constant cost cutting initiatives and lay-offs. The company has an identity crisis and no real strategy other than to cut costs. It tried to be innovative but it's far behind the curve and is losing talent at a rapid rate. Sad place to be in.

    Advice to Management

Treat your people as assets, not cost and give people opportunities to succeed. Offer training, offer people options to grow and take on more responsibility. Create a culture - not through a committee, but through treating people well and doing the right things to make them feel appreciated.

    Pros

-Great co-workers that "pulled and rowed" together to get the job done
    -Personable manager
    -Client Interaction
    -Leadership opportunities

    Cons

    Frequent week-end work on short-notice

    Advice to Management

Be upfront about week-ends requirements when hiring, since some people don't mind as long as they can plan adequately

    Pros

Flexible hours, compensation, willing to promote, work at home, good reimbursement for sales folks, low pressure environment, was not micromanaged

    Cons

They have mainframes and services. They keep trying to make other products or solutions but none get any reaction. Horrible marketing.

    Advice to Management

Either figure out what it takes to launch a product/solution or stop trying.

    Pros

Great commercial portfolio; Strong technical staff working on programs.

    Cons

Top heavy Federal leadership who are more concerned with saving their own job than what is best for the company and the direct billable staff. Biggest downfall is the inability to win new business and sustain current business.

    Advice to Management

Conduct an assessment of the overhead structure & which posiitons are value added. Focus on customer facing services rather than internal facing functions ie: Business operations, resoure management, multiple layers of VPs, portfolio sales
