    Pros

Immediate departmental colleagues are outstanding, contributions can be recognized but this varies on location/supervisor. Travel benefits are always a nice lifestyle to have, but have been gutted after the merger for management employees. Truly a globally diverse company.

    Cons

Toxic culture post-merger, UA is really struggling to find an identity out of the combined United and Continental cultures. Too much focus on pleasing Wall Street and not the employees or customers. HQ is terribly bureaucratic, hierarchical, and risk-averse. Profit sharing for management was reduced greatly for 2014, to the point of being a joke at the expense of other workgroups.

    Advice to Management

Return to Continental's Working Together culture. Start rewarding achievements based on merit and not politics. Focus on employee satisfaction and the rest will follow. Fix reliability and do some officer housecleaning.

    Pros

I love my co workers, they are all willing to help and assist when needed no matter what. Everyone wants to do the best that they can and they also want to make sure that others do the best that they can as well.

    Cons

One of the downsides is when we are told we have to stay over at the last minute. With working for an airline, this can happen at any time for any reason but this is part of the job and we all make the best of it.
