Former Employee – worked at United Healthcare of the Midwest full-time for more than a year

ProsGreat work atmosphere, great cafeteria. Management was very helpful and so were coworkers. I loved working for this company because the people and atmosphere provided a place I could look forward to going to daily. Operation hours are 7am-7pm M-F .

ConsTo work for a health insurance company, the health insurance benefits were the worst of any other company I have ever worked for! You are responsible for 20% of All your medical bills. Only thing covered at 100% is preventive care. Almost all the callers are upset and rude and these are all mostly medical professionals.

Advice to Senior ManagementRe-evaluate employee medical benefit packages.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at United Healthcare of the Midwest

ProsThe benefits from United Health Group were great, the health expense account had a 1,000 dollars on it yearly and the ability to work from home.

ConsThe attendance policy was extremely strict, it didn't work well for families and the ability to advance with in the company wasn't really available

Advice to Senior ManagementSome feedback or advice I'd like to give to United Healthcare is focus on the worker that are seasoned instead of being a revolving door.
