There is a family atmosphere at this location. The workforce is mature and hardworking. Lot of people working that have been there over 5 years, but there are still opportunities for advancement. Company is experiencing exceptional growth.
Cons
I have been there for over 2 months and have yet to see a downside.

Advice to Senior Management
You say communication was one of the greatest acknowledgements in the last employee survey, BS....
Show better MORAL knowing you work everyone to the nitty bone when we as employees know we need bodies for the type of work load and all you say is "YOU CAN DO MORE WITH LESS"...how about taking one for the team and lightening your pockets a bit to assist those who are on the front lines.....
Pros
They compete in an exciting growing industry. As people realize how much better Organic and Natural food can be for you, there is potential growth.
Cons
It is a very disconnected community. Once you get hired in you are basically just a peon in anyones eyes with senority.
Pros
Pay and mileage are very good compared to similar jobs. The benefits package is very good. Yhe medical package is great. Weekends off.
Cons
Despite working from home, you have very little home life. This is a great job if you do not mind traveling overnight alot. Sometimes on short notice. Sometimes for the whole week.
Advice to Senior Management
Service and sales would probably be positively affected if territories and reps areas of responsibility were not so large. Often spend as much or more time traveling than in the stores/accounts.
Pros
united natural foods is an exellent company, which is growing every day. i believe the company will be around for a very long time.
Cons
the management in the york facility is lacking. i think things could be run a lot more efficiently, with better management.
Advice to Senior Management
i would ask management to please listen to the workers who are out doing the job every day, and please dont be afraid to listen to our opinions.
Pros
Good people.Good people who will soon be replaced by yes men and women willing to mindlessly follow the company's ruthless CEO Steven Spinner.
Cons
Upper management is heartless. The term "business needs" is used to justify management decisions to the extent that it really means " because I said so".
Advice to Senior Management
Change at too rapid a pace can destroy moral and lead to management departure. The company falls well below it's claim to be "the employer of choice".
Pros
The pay is good once you have reached top scale, or you have more then six years driving exp. Also the vacation time and personal time is good at the 5 year mark and gets even better at the 10 year mark since you acrue hours per pay period.
Cons
It long hours when you work and the managment staff is more concerned about there budget and christmas bonus then maintaing the equipment you need to do your job efficiently. Most case communication between managment and the employee's is low except when you or somebody else does something wrong and within a hour everbody in the company knows about it, and the only way it could have been made public is by management.
Advice to Senior Management
Try again because the one you have in place dont seem to have a clue.
