    I worked at United Rentals

    Pros

Cool employees and great culture. Really joked around a lot. If you are into construction then it is good for you but other wise it is not.

    Cons

You're just a number to upper management. They don't care for your true well being. I was promised a certain position or promotion after a certain and didn't receive it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't promise an employee a promotion than back out of it.

    I worked at United Rentals

    Pros

    Training
    All the overtime you want
    New equipment
The list has gotten smaller as implementation of new practices are added along with your already large workload

    Cons

Trench underpaid compared to other divisions
    High turnover at trench branches
Safety is preached but they keep branches lean and understaffed, so you generally have to cut
    corners
Pay is 15% lower than competitors
Benefits are not as good anymore

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the employees you have. The bigger they get, the more they overlook the guys busting their butts.
