    Pros

Excellent place to work. Great benefits. Employee morale is high - corporate support consistent. Awesome company to work for. Management helps create a positive work environment so one might look forward.

    Cons

There is such a demand for United Remtals equipment due to the quality and dependability that sometimes there just aren't enough backhoes or excavators to go around.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to do the excellent job you always do. Thank you for the opportunity you provided for me. Working at United Rentals was a blast!

    Pros

Great opportunities exist with this company! Compensation is best in industry, and across the board. Company values persons that are self motivated and have entreprenuerial spirit. Promotes from within.

    Cons

Must be self motivated, your ability to move up in the company is directly related to your relationship with upper management.

    Advice to Management

Spend time investing in employees! It's not always about the P&L.

    Pros

Great company to work for. They are growing and there is a lot of opportunity to advance. The have really embraced diversity and have a program for veterans. Pay and benefits are one of the best in the industry.

    Cons

The rules change as you go especially when it comes to commission and bonuses. I guess it's meant to keep you aiming higher but sometimes the goals are unrealistic. But the good pay balances it out so it's more of an inconvenience. The other downside is if you are a night owl. This industry is for early risers. 7am start time is the norm and sometimes earlier but thats the nature of the construction industry for most jobs. Sometimes that can be a problem balancing work with having school age kids unless you have support.

    Pros

Company had a great benefits and salary package. Did a great job of engaging their employees and giving incentives for production levels as well. Was a safe and caring company to work for.

    Cons

There was not much training involved and you worked very lean to increase profits. Need to add employees so everything isn't put on a few individuals. This weakness would sometimes show if an employee was gone for a day or two.

    Advice to Management

You need to increase the training of new employees to help them feel more prepared for their job and less discouraged.
