I worked at United Space Alliance full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Best place I ever worked. Most folks really cared about the people, the work, and the mission. Delivered the goods (and more) to the customer (NASA).

    Cons

Management had Tunnel-vision for a long time. Many employees became so customer focused they forgot they worked for a company and not for NASA. Parent companies hampered our ability to expand customer/ business base.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Move faster - next time

    Pros

An excellent overall quality system that provided respect for the employees. USA provided opportunity for forward thinking individuals to be heard and provided training for the future.

    Cons

As an alliance with Lockheed Martin and Boeing, USA was restricted on what kind of work that it could pursue.
